Our History
We are a concrete construction company specializing in poured
concrete foundations and flatwork. The company's roots date back to the
1930s when Nino Coello's father began working as a mason. In
1964, Nino began working in the trade with his father. He later
held apprenticeships with D.G. Beyer and Superior Masonry. In
1975, Nino started Coello Construction, specializing in concrete
garage slabs and flatwork. At that time, it was decided by Coello Construction
to stay out of the block basement industry because of the problems associated
with failing block basements.
Nino Coello is now the president of
Coello & Associates, and owns the company along with his wife Ruth. His
oldest son joined the company in 1984, and one year later they
began focusing on residential footings and flatwork. Michael graduated from the
University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1992 with a bachelor's of
science degree in finance, and is now the general manager of the company and head of both operations and quality control.
It was in 1993 that the company took the leap and expanded
into poured concrete wall foundations. In recent years, Nino's other two sons, Tony and Nick, have joined the operation. Tony is currently the Human Resources Manager for the company.
In 2008, Nick Coello left his quality control post to head Concrete Interiors, our concrete countertop division.
Through our experience and
dedication to the industry, Coello & Associates stands as the industry
leader in terms of quality, customer service, and concrete technology.
