Flatwork
Coello & Associates takes the extra steps necessary to
provide you with the highest quality flatwork available in the industry. Your
basement and garage floors, as well as your stoops and steps, are poured with
care and an attention to detail. Only tradespersons trained to our standards
can deliver the quality found in Coello & Associates flatwork.
Benefits of choosing Coello & Associates for your flatwork project
are:
- 3,000 (lbs. per square inch) minimum concrete
mix
- Surfaces are double or triple troweled for a smooth and
durable finish
- Hand-tooled control joints are used (rather than saw cut
joints) for a nicer appearance and better immediate crack control (most
cracking occurs a few hours after the floors are poured, so it is best to have
joints put in right away)
- Ample number of control joints in the basement, garage, and
stoops
- The faces of stoops and steps are troweled and finished
- Low slump is used which reduces cracking and helps concrete
maintain its maximum strength
- Skilled finishers clean up excess concrete splatter in
basement after pouring
- Poly is placed under stone, not directly under concrete,
for a better finish and more durable end product; this also helps prevent
concrete curling
- Garage floors are hand-troweled all the way past the garage
doors which gives this troublesome area greater durability
